Cannabis plant

The cannabis plant is a species of flowering plant in the family Cannabaceae, known for its psychoactive and medicinal properties. It is native to Central and South Asia and is commonly divided into three species: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. The plant contains compounds called cannabinoids, with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) being the most well-known, and is used for a variety of purposes including recreational, medicinal, and industrial (hemp) applications.
